Summing up my idea

I read this about a tea-house project, "A contemporary expression of a historical typology." This is what I am striving for in my farmhouse design, but not necessarily for the plans for sale that I have drawn. I believe we, as architects, should be looking to this concept more often, evoking the past and being current.
